Positioning Concept

Positioning
Positioning is a method to give the best position of our product in customers brain. Sometime people fell confuse when they tried to fulfill their daily needs such as, food, cloths, cosmethics, etc. From that reason, an industry or company compete to get the most high attention from customer, as we know that customer will know our product from many characteristics. Warteg known as the simple inn and cheap cost cafetaria for many people. People know warteg as the traditional place to eat and it is not so expensive to eat there. It's different with Hoka-hoka Bento as the high level place to eat and full of extra services and certainly expensive price. This place is provided to the up level people. That's the differentiation, now we wanna discuss about the same concept of building brand in customers mind. The perception of customers is the point of positioning, warteg can get the part in customers mind and Hokben is too. 
Positioning derivate the concept of product design, what is the relation? every peope always get the information of million product everyday and they certainly can not remember every information well, so to make our product always remembered, we should make a unique product with different value from other. You can also make the attribute function of product beside the main function, like handphone beside the communication media, it's also can be used for internet acces, games, calculator, etc.
To build our brand in customers mind, we need the acces of introduction like advertisement. The price of advertisement is not so expensive comparated with the result of selling due to the strong brand in customers mind.
People's mind is more sensitive with many kind of variety product, the one form of product ussualy left by customers because they fell bored with monoton image on that product, the function of positioning is unreachable in that point, so the market segmentation of company must be large and afford every part of human's life by making so many variations.
The competition in positioning is very tight, the weak company will be eliminated in the competition if they can't defend their brand, so to make the strong ablelity need so long time and integrated concept of positioning.
